The cacao beans come from the Kilombero Valley, adjacent to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. In this region, social enterprise "Kokoa Kamili" is making a big difference by directly purchasing wet beans (unfermented beans) from farmers at premium prices and meticulously managing the fermentation and drying processes.
