Greetings

Yoko Kaiki, President and Representative Director

Thank you for visiting Scanjap Chocolate's page.

We, Scanjap Incorporated, have been active as an import trading company introducing Scandinavian design products to Japan since 2006.

It was in 2017 that we started our chocolate business.
Although we were aware of the existence of Nordic chocolate, it was when we actually encountered "Bean to Bar" that we were deeply impressed by the original taste of chocolate, carefully selected from cocoa beans and without unnecessary additives. Since then, we have been working on this business with the desire to deliver this感動 (deep impression/moving experience) to as many people as possible.

Similar to Nordic design, food culture such as chocolate also strongly reflects the local ingredients, culture, and customs. The more we learn about these backgrounds, the more we feel that the world of Nordic food is profound and very interesting.

Furthermore, Nordic chocolate is not only delicious, but it also supports cocoa bean farmers and environmentally friendly production systems. It makes everyone involved happy—the makers, the deliverers, and the tasters. We hope to bring the charm of such chocolate to everyone in Japan.

Through Valentine's events at department stores, including Salon du Chocolat, we have so far allowed many customers to experience the world of Nordic chocolate. We will continue to deliver special chocolate experiences with a focus on quality.

Pop-up store opening at a department store event

We have set up pop-up shops at department stores nationwide, including Isetan Mitsukoshi, Takashimaya, Hankyu Hanshin, and Daimaru Matsuzakaya, for events such as Nordic Fairs, handicraft events, and Valentine's Day promotions. Since our founding in 2006, we have valued these opportunities to directly share the charm of the Nordics with our customers.
